Our basic course is called the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training). This is where all training begins. It costs £130/- and takes place at weekends. This is the basic legal requirement to get started on 2 wheels. It includes 1 day (around 7-8 hours) of training. Upon completion you can legally ride any machine upto 125cc on the road with L plates.

Following the CBT, if you wish to pursue further training to take your test (DSA Exam*) or to ride larger capacity motorcycles (DAS course - Direct Access) and be able to carry a passenger - we can work out a training programme suited to your schedule.

The rates below include all clothing equipment, motorcycle hire, FULL insurance, VAT and our instructors' time.

When shopping around do ask the other training schools for insurance. Many of them will charge you extra for insurance on the day (anything ranging from £15 - £50). If you don't pay the insurance "damage waiver" then you will be liable for the first £300.00 or so of damage if you drop / crash the motorbike.

WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR INSURANCE ON THE DAY. The prices we have quoted here is the total amount you pay and are inclusive of insurance.

For training on big bikes (DAS course) we do daytime and evening courses so if work commitments don't allow then you don't need to take 3-5 days off work. Our pricing is very simple. See the table below. Eg. if you need 1 weekday daytime and 2 evenings of training followed by a morning exam - your total cost will be £130 + (£85 x 2) + £160 = £460. See FAQ #20 for an idea of how much training you will need. Of course we can make a more accurate assessment once we have seen you ride.

The practical test is booked first thing in the morning so you will not need to take the day off work. At most you will need to take the morning off.

You come to our offices in the morning and ride to the test center with one of our instructors supervising you. This gives you some practice in the morning prior to your test. After the exam you ride the motorcycle back to our offices along with the instructor. There will be at most one other student with you on the test that day.

When you book your CBT and do a days training, we can then give you an idea of how many days further training you will need - to get up to test standard (and ride without L plates)

(*)The DSA Exam is like your practical car driving test. We take you to one of the test centers around London to take the test. It lasts around 40 minutes.
